Keep Toxic New Agent Orange GMOs off Your Plate! The first generation of biotech crops has failed. And failed badly. Now the biotech industry is stepping up the chemical arms race in an effort to make up for the failure of Monsanto’s Roundup. Excessive use of Roundup by GMO farmers has led million of acres of U.S. farmland filled with Roundup resistant superweeds. To combat this, Dow Chemical is petitioning the EPA and USDA to approve a new Enlist GMO "Agent Orange" corn and soy to tolerate 2,4-D, a main chemical component of the Vietnam era defoliant linked to birth defects, cancer, and hormone disruption, and glyphosate, the main chemical in Monsanto's best selling weedkiller Roundup. On top of these horrific health problems, 2,4-D is widely known among farmers to be difficult to control during application, leading to drift onto neighboring farms, causing major crop damage and contaminating waterways. These facts have greatly alarmed scientists and farmers alike, leading a former top Reagan USDA official to declare 2,4-D one of “the most dangerous chemicals out there.”
Tell the EPA to Dump Dow’s Dangerous New Enlist Agent Orange GMOs!

I have 3 starting points in the city where I like to start from 59th, 34th, and 14th street, walking time range from 1 hours & 41 minutes to 30 minute. Distance range is 5.2 mile to 2.0 miles. My walking destination is Battery Park. (On the move)

Dear Mr. Rivera,
Thank you for your email in regard to labeling genetically engineered food.
I agree with you, and want you to know that I am a co-sponsor of this legislation.
Member of Assembly
Dear, Assembly Member Michael Benedetto,
I just signed a letter saying:
As your constituent, I'm writing to ask you to support and co-sponsor 2014 [Assembly Bill A 3535 / Senate Bill S 3835] legislation that would require the labeling of food that has been genetically engineered or partially produced with genetic engineering. These foods are also commonly known as genetically modified organisms or GMOs.
Already, 64 other countries around the world inform their citizens if their food has been genetically engineered in a laboratory with simple labels, and it's time that we share that basic right. If the same companies can label foods containing GMOs (genetically modified organisms) in Russia, China and South Africa, I believe they should label them in New York as well.
Polls regularly show that more than 90% of Americans want labeling of genetically engineered foods, and a 2011 poll found that GMO labeling has broad bipartisan support, with 89% of Republicans, 90% of Independents and 93% of Democrats favor GMO labeling in the U.S.
Join thousands of mothers, farmers and advocates in helping New York lead the way on labeling of genetically engineered foods, because we have a right to know what's in the food that we're eating and feeding our families.
Red Alert - Support GMO Labeling in New York!
Red Alert - Support GMO Labeling in New York! Right now 2 bills to label genetically engineered foods have been introduced in the New York state assembly [Assembly Bill A 3525 / Senate Bill S 3835] and we only have 3 days to pass a strong GMO labeling bill this year in New York before the legislative session ends.
Last week Monsanto and the giant junk food lobby sued the state of Vermont to defeat their GMO labeling law in court and we need New York to stand up to Monsanto and the Biotech Bullies today. This is an outrageous attack on state's rights and we can't let it stand!
At the moment, 13 new GMO crops are awaiting approval at the USDA, including Dow Chemical’s 2,4-D Agent Orange corn and the “botox” GMO apple. At the same time, the FDA is getting ready to approve genetically engineered salmon. If approved, Aquabounty’s GMO salmon would be the first genetically engineered animal allowed on the market and it would appear on your plates unlabeled!
With your help, we can change that! Join us to help make GMO labeling a reality in New York!
